Spider-Man: The College Years is a 2017 Marvel/Netflix series starring Logan Lerman in the title role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Because Spider-Man works better as a solo character in serialized stories, Marvel decided to forgo having him in the movies, putting him amongst the ranks of the Defenders on Netflix instead.
